Pre-Baselworld 2015: Introducing The H. Moser & Cie Endeavor Perpetual Calendar "Funky Blue"

H. Moser & Cie is responding to all the smartwatch hype with a new release of their own, the Endeavor Perpetual Calendar "Funky Blue." Dubbed the “original smart watch,” the Endeavor stands in stark contrast to digital gadgetry, while thriving on a similar set of ergonomics. Additionally, the Endeavor has taken a new approach to the perpetual calendar, stripping away any unnecessary elements to create a simple and unassuming take on the complication. For 2015, the Endeavor Perpetual Calendar watch welcomes a new sky-blue fumé dial, hence the moniker "Funky Blue."

The existing Endeavor Perpetual Calendar family features a variety of classic configurations, including gold (rose and white), titanium, platinum, and even palladium. The newest addition, the Funky Blue, will feature a white-gold case paired with a sky-blue fumé dial color and kudu leather strap, offering a rustic take on the watch.

Inside the newest Endeavor Perpetual Calendar is the hand-wound, in-house caliber HMC 341. Along with impeccable finishing, the movement houses Moser’s own escapement and original Straumann hairspring with stabilized Breguet overcoil. Its double barrels provide seven days of power reserve, which can be monitored via the “UP/DOWN” display on the dial.

The perpetual calendar mechanism remains untouched. The month is tracked via a small central hand, using the hour markers as months. The large date display changes instantaneously, and can be modified via the crown with ease. A leap year indication is visible through the back of the watch, integrated within the movement. This leaves the dial side looking refreshingly clean and onlookers none the wiser.

The Endeavor Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue will be shown at Baselworld 2015 next week, so keep an eye out for live images from the show. Until then, you can learn more about this watch from H. Moser & Cie’s website, right here.
